2011 Mission Conference

This year the theme was "In the Shadow of the Cross" and on every level, this is the theme of our church. We believe that the gospel is not only for unbelievers but for believers as well. We need to take multiple looks at the cross to remind us of who we are and whose we are. And the fact that we belong to Jesus makes us missionaries.  This year, like in years past, the conference was spread over a period of three days. On Friday April 1st, small groups met with different missionaries in various homes.  On Saturday, we had a 3rd annual international dinner where people had the chance to "sample" food from all over the world which was followed by a Prayer and Praise time led by Bill Drake from Operation Mobilization. On Sunday during the Sunday School hour, our missionaries participated in a panel discussion where we asked them questions about their ministries.  Then during the Worship Service, we were lead by our missionaries who worked through our theme of "In the Shadow of the Cross."  Below are some media from various parts of the conference:

Mark Auffarth, our senior pastor, spoke to us about the Power we have through Christ and the Resurrection. "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it." - Mark 8:34-35
